Fuji Rock Festival '24 performance confirmed! girl in red is the solo project of Marie Ulven, a 24-year-old singer/songwriter from Norway and a "queer icon of generation Z". Her debut album "if i could make it go quiet" was released in 2021 and has been streamed over 1 billion times worldwide. The album won the Grammy Award for Best Album in its native Norway, and was selected as the opening act for Taylor Swift's tour. She has also been steadily growing as a singer and songwriter, with tickets for her first show in Japan at Ebisu Liquid Room in January 2023 selling out immediately.Her second album "I'M DOING IT AGAIN BABY!" was produced in collaboration with fellow SSW Matthias Tellez, who not only wrote the lyrics but also produced the album himself. The concept of the album is an ironic play on the "second year jinx". The new song "Too Much," released prior to the album, has a more contoured pop sound that breaks away from the indie sound of the past, and the sad lyrics combine to create a beautiful song that reminds us of the arrival of spring. The music video was directed by Fiona Jane Burgess, known for her work on Christina Aguilera's music videos. She will also perform at Fuji Rock Festival '24! There are high expectations for her further progress.
