Elliott Armen, a singer-songwriter from Saint-Malo, France, recorded his second album "Turbulence" in the Isle of Lewis, Scotland. Elliott Armen is a singer-songwriter from Saint-Malo, Brittany, France. Inspired by the landscape around his parents' house facing a beautiful estuary, he began composing songs on guitar and piano as a teenager.After high school, he traveled around Europe for two years, moving from farmhouse to farmhouse to obtain food and shelter. While there, he learned farming know-how from his host family. Elliott's backpack contained his instruments, notebook, and equipment for recording songs during his travels. Now settled in his parents' home, he cultivates a bio-diverse farm and is bringing back to life the old stone house that inspired his childhood.He will record his first album in the spring of 2020 in a studio tucked away on the French island of Ushant. Influenced by Elliott Smith, Sufian Stevens, and Andy Schauffe, the sound of the album is a mix of guitar and piano sounds with his own original voice, expressing the natural resonance of the sea and the land.
