The 22 songs on the album were selected by Barbra herself, looking back on her long career. None of the songs have ever been included on a compilation album before, and none of them have achieved much in the way of chart success. However, each of the 22 songs has been selected by Barbra herself as a prime example of how she has integrated her emotions with the melodies and lyrics. These songs hold a special place in Barbra's heart and memory. This film was created to celebrate the unparalleled career of an inimitable artist who has conquered literally every entertainment medium from nightclubs to concerts to Broadway, from the big screen to the small screen, and of course, the recording studio. It is a celebration of 60 years of conquering all media.Ahead of the album's release, the 2023 mix of "Evergreen" (Love Theme from Birth of a Star), which won a Grammy and an Oscar for Barbra's singing, was released.
