The world premiere recording of G. Scarlatti's Opera Buffa by Ensemble 1700, a period instrument ensemble led by world-renowned Dorothee Oberlinger of the full Oberlinger recorder, includes Handel's Lucio Comerio Silla and Bononcini's Polyfermo, Newly discovered, rare, and rarely heard works are revived and revived at music festivals and special events throughout Europe, attracting worldwide attention. Italian Baroque composer Giuseppe Scarlatti (1723-1777) was a popular figure of his time, composing numerous operas and buffas full of fresh and pleasing melodies (although he is often considered a descendant of the famous Alessandro and Domenico Scarlatti, they are actually (Although he is often said to be a descendant of the famous Alessandro and Domenico Scarlatti, there is no actual connection.) The world premiere recording of the opera "The Mysterious Power of Mother Nature" was first performed in Venice in 1752, and soon after at the court of King Frederick the Great. It is full of the spirit of comedy, pleasant melodies, and arias and ensembles colored with flamboyant coloratura. The script is a witty one by playwright Carlo Goldoni. Since parts of the score for this opera buffa have been lost, Oberlinger completed the opera using related manuscripts from Vienna and Wolfenbüttel. Instrumental music by Pergolesi is also used for the interludes. The story is also a stirring one, as the celibate Ceridoro is bewildered by his sudden freedom, the world, people, and women are all new to him, and his instincts are constantly clashing with strange rules. This light-hearted opera buffa amusingly depicts Chedrillo's process of finding his place in society amidst the games of power and love. The revival of the opera "The Mysterious Power of Mother Nature" was staged at the Potsdam Sans Souci Festival in 2022.This album is a live recording of the opera, which has been praised as "the music of the year's greatest discovery" (rbb kultur) and "fascinating...
