OUTSIDER", NIGHT DEMON's third album in about six years, which witnesses the further evolution of the band. With a driving rhythm section, riffing guitars and a powerful chorus, NIGHT DEMON has been keeping the old school heavy metal tradition alive for more than a decade. The band's five 7" singles released in 2020 sold out instantly, indicating the enthusiasm of their fans (a compilation of these recordings will be released in 2022). (A compilation of those recordings is "Year Of The Demon," to be released in 2022.) OUTSIDER, the long-awaited third studio album following their debut "Curse of the Damned" (2015) and second album "Darkness Remains" (2017), is a straightforward reflection of NIGHT DEMON's perspective, their individual beliefs and life paths. It is a bold and ambitious work that straightforwardly reflects NIGHT DEMON's perspectives, their respective faiths and life paths, while also weaving universal human emotions such as alienation, loss, regret, and revenge. (2) "Outsider," released prior to the album's release, is a song full of the band's character with a melodic and heart-pounding chorus that pierces the hearts of fans. The album's middle track, (4) "Beyond the Grave," is a powerful composition full of ups and downs that pushes the band's musical boundaries in a profound and dramatic way. Another must-listen track is (8) "The Wrath," an emotional roller coaster of emotions, tempo, and feeling that brings together a variety of elements. The album also includes a number of other songs that have been polished to a degree that surpasses their past work by restructuring their songwriting methods and incorporating more progressive elements. But longtime fans need not worry. There is no doubt that OUTSIDER is the sound of NIGHT DEMON all the way through. Most bands will always say that their latest work is the best. But it's up to the listener to decide, and I think it's a subjective thing. But OUTSIDER is the one that pushed our abilities the most.
