And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead (TRAIL OF DEAD). TRAIL OF DEAD, like many other bands and musicians, was forced to cancel their 2020-2021 tour due to a pandemic. During his time away from the band, Keely spent months of blissful peace and serenity hiking in the hills around Austin, walking his dog, cooking at home, and reading. Finally, having achieved the hippie lifestyle he had longed for since childhood, Keely says he began to dream of connecting himself with the golden generation of rock. In February 2021, the band members gathered for a series of chats and began work on this album. The band began work on this album after a series of conversations centered on chatting among the band members. The band then found a barn adjacent to a large field that could afford to be rented for a few months, and the result is "XI: BLEED HERE NOW", which was completed with enthusiasm and passion in a relaxing and stress-free place where time is not a stress.The album opens with (1) "Our Epic Attempts," which translates the band's name into many languages and includes a Japanese narration that reads, "You will know me by the traces of the dead...," followed by (3) "Field Songs," (4) "Penny Candle," which has an alternative, driving feel.
