Pentatonix’s Latest Christmas Album, “Evergreen” Pentatonix—winners of three consecutive Grammy Awards, the first a cappella group in history to have two consecutive albums reach No. 1 on the U.S. charts, and with over 5.2 billion total video views—is releasing their latest Christmas album, “Evergreen.” “It’s Been a Long, Long Time,” released in advance of the album, was written in 1945 after the end of World War II by and has been covered by countless artists as a Western standard. More recently, it was used as the closing song for the movie *Avengers: Endgame*. Pentatonix performs this love song—about a lover begging for a kiss after a long separation—with a mellow arrangement, resulting in a track with even greater musical depth. The short music video for the song, released alongside the announcement of their U.S. Christmas tour in December, features a mix of the five members singing in silence and footage from past live performances. On their latest original album, *Lucky Ones Deluxe* (Japanese edition), they surprised fans with their Japanese vocals on “Midnight in Tokyo”—a collaboration with LittleGleeMonster—and a futuristic music video. However, their Christmas album *Evergreen* looks set to be a work brimming with a nostalgic warmth, much like the cover art that has been released.
