Pink Floyd "A Momentary Lapse of Reason (Remixed & Updated 2019)" A new remixed and updated version of 1987's "Depression"! A Momentary Lapse of Reason" (released in 1987) has been remixed by David Gilmour from the original master tape and is now available in a completely new version. In addition, the keyboards have been replaced with those played by Richard Wright on some of the songs that were played by session musicians, and the drums have been newly replayed by Nick Mason in an up-dated version. The drums and keyboards are more prominent, and the electric sound of the 80's that was felt when the album was first released has been swept away, leaving behind a deep space that is Pink Floyd at its best. Depression" is Pink Floyd's 13th album, and the first album by the new Pink Floyd released after Roger Waters left the band.Produced with David Gilmour at the helm, "Depression" features a soundscape of familiar melodies. The chart action of "Depression" was #3 in the US and #3 in the UK. The artwork was created by Storm Torgerson of Hypnosis, and the front cover was shot on a beach in Thornton Sands, Devon, England, where over 800 beds were actually laid out. The film will feature an alternate take of the original vinyl cover photo. The 2021 album artwork, which reflects the iconic original vinyl cover image, was designed and art-directed by Aubrey Powell of Hypnosis and Peter Curzon of Storm Studio. (This work will be available for distribution in 2019 from The Later Yeas Box.)
