Transatlantic, a supergroup of top players in the progressive rock world, releases its first new album in six years, "The Absolute Universe: The Breath Of Life". Transatlantic was formed in 1999 by Neal Morse (ex-Spox Beard), Mike Portnoy (ex-Dream Theater), Roine Stolt (The Flower Kings), and Pete Trewavas (Marillion), four of the progressive rock world's top players. Their new album, their first in six years, is a concept album, essentially one big song divided into chapters. The stories depict the very difficult situations that everyone is facing in today's society, with Pandemic being a major influence. As in past works, a string section is featured in addition to the four members, and the grandiose and thick sound is well worth listening to. This is an album that can be called a masterpiece that is no less than the masterpiece "Whirlwind," and is truly a long-awaited release for fans. The album will be released simultaneously in two versions: 1CD version "The Absolute Universe: The Breath Of Life" (Abridged Version) and 2CD version "The Absolute Universe: Forevermore" (Extended Version). The two versions will be released at the same time, but with different vocals, different recordings, and different titles for the same songs, making the 1CD version not a 2CD compilation, a very unique attempt. The cover photo will also be different for "The Absolute Universe: The Breath Of Life" (1CD) and "The Absolute Universe: Forevermore" (2CD).
