Swedish folk-pop duo = First Aid KitThe live album "Who by Fire - Live Tribute to Leonard Cohen" First Aid Kit is a live album from a Leonard Cohen tribute show in 2017. The duo is made up of the Soderberg sisters Joanna and Clara from Sweden/Stockholm, and their major label debut album "Stay Gold", released on Columbia in 2014, debuted at #1 on the Swedish album chart and #23 on the U.S. album chart, garnering a great deal of attention. Their second album, "Ruins," released in 2018, features guest artists such as Peter Buck (REM) and Glenn Kotze (Wilco), and is a collection of songs that showcase the girls' musical roots in folk rock and alternative country. The album is a live album released this time. The live album to be released this time is a tribute to Leonard Cohen, who was a great admirer of the girls.The show was recorded live at the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm in 2017 in memory of Leonard Cohen, who sadly passed away in 2016. The show also featured guest appearances by Swedish musicians and actors. They passionately perform Leonard Cohen's signature songs, including "Hallelujah," "Suzanne," "Sisters of Mercy," "Who by Fire," and "Chelsea Hotel #2." The two members of First Aid Kit said of the show, "Leonard Cohen's work has been a constant source of inspiration for us since we started playing music 10 years ago. He was a truly sensational songwriter and had a unique language. Every line, every word is heavy with meaning. On the occasion of his passing, I wanted to be sure to dedicate a tribute concert to our idol." He stated.
