This is a series of 10 titles with a strong lineup again this time. This year, 10 titles with a strong lineup will be released again. The artwork design is based on a white color scheme, making it easy to spot. The latest remastering at the time of production is used. *This set does not include a booklet. Track listings can be found on the paper jacket of each disc. This box contains religious works with chorus from Arnoncourt's recordings with the Concentus Musicus, the Vienna Philharmonic, and the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks for Sony Classikal between 2003 and 2015.During the Telefunken and Teldec periods, Bach's "John Passion" was first recorded with period instruments, a boy soloist, and a male chorus to recreate the performance style of the time of composition, based on authentic period research, followed by "Matthew Passion," "Mass in B minor," "Christmas Oratorio," and the "Complete Cantatas" recorded with Leonhardt. In 2002, he moved to BMG Classics, where he recorded the brilliance of his later years. Here we have Bach cantatas and "Christmas Oratorio" (CD1-4), which he re-recorded, Mozart "Requiem" (CD9), which he said he was unusually satisfied with as "the best of my recordings so far," and 19th century Romantic "Requiem" by Verdi, Brahms and Dvořák The CDs are filled with unique and masterful performances of works from a wide range of periods, from Mozart's "Requiem" (CD9), which Arnoncourt said he was satisfied with as "the best recording I have ever made.The last recording of Arnoncourt's life, Beethoven's "Missa Solemnis," is a masterful performance that brings a sense of clarity to the latter end of his long performance career.
