Tchaikovsky (1840-1893)
Description:
Christian, the rambunctious member of the Järvi family, gives another fine performance of Tchaikovsky! This is the world premiere recording of "Sleeping Beauty" in a unique condensed arrangement. Sleeping Beauty" is the second of Tchaikovsky's "three great ballets" to be composed. Compared to "Swan Lake," which is synonymous with ballet, and "The Nutcracker," which is a staple of the Christmas season, "The Sleeping Beauty" has been performed less frequently, but it has a gorgeous and luxurious atmosphere that pervades not only the three great ballets but all ballets. The complete performance of the complete work takes three hours, and even the reduced version exceeds two hours, but the entire stage is filled with a sense of depth and scale. Christian Järvi's latest album is his own arrangement of the ballet, entitled "Dramatic Symphony. Christian Järvi has recorded "Snow Girl" with the MDR Symphony Orchestra and "Swan Lake" with the Gstaad Festival Orchestra under the title of "Tchaikovsky Project," demonstrating his affinity for Tchaikovsky's music, and also highlighting the minimalist style of music that is Christian's forte. Christian's unique approach has been successful. This time, "Sleeping Beauty" is an extension of the same, with all 54 pieces that make up the complete edition condensed into a total of 70 minutes of undulating, literally dramatic symphony, each about a minute long. The Baltic Sea Philharmonic, of which Christian is the musical director, is based on the Baltic Sea Youth Philharmonic, which was established in 2008 to train young musicians, and is a group of musicians from Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Russia The Baltic Youth Philharmonic is a group of top orchestral musicians from 10 countries in the Baltic Sea region, including Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Latvia, Norway, Poland, Russia, and Sweden, and under the enthusiastic guidance of Christian, the group has gained a great reputation.
