Pain Of Salvation

Description:

The most important work of progressive metal in 2020. PAIN OF SALVATION's new album "Panther". PAIN OF SALVATION, led by Daniel Gildenlow, a Swedish progressive metal front-runner who freely manipulates multiple instruments and delivers captivating vocals, released their first album "Panther" in 1991 under the name of their former band REALM, which had been active since the 1980s. PAIN OF SALVATION has been "progressive" for almost 30 years, releasing their debut album "Entropia" (1997) as well as a concept album. PAIN OF SALVATION is a one-of-a-kind band that radiates an overwhelming sense of individuality and presence. This album was produced after the departure of Ragnar Zolberg, who participated as guitarist and vocalist on the previous two albums "Falling Home" (2014) and "In the Passing Light of Day" (2017) (Johan Hallgren has returned to the band in his place). Johan Hallgren returned to the band). I've experienced in the past when relationships with members deteriorate and they leave the band," said Zolberg. It is very difficult, sad and confusing for a band like a small family. But we never lost our direction. With the remaining members, we just kept writing music to move forward," says Daniel Gildenlow. Three years after their last album, "In the Passing Light of Day" (2017), which was based on their own experiences with illness, the substandard band is releasing "Panther" in a new guise. 'This album took over two years to make. There was a need to push the envelope both sonically and musically. I think I need a world that is constantly changing and feels new to me. It is not my intention, but in retrospect, I chose different means each time, and every piece has a different sound. That's my secret to keeping myself from doing the same thing over and over again." The music video for "Accelerator," which features Daniel and his stunning vocals and unique sense of rhythm, was released on July 3, and has already received a wide variety of feedback, including praise and disapproval from eager fans. However, old PAIN OF SALVATION fans need not panic at all. Although this album is approached from a variety of angles, the band has not lost its core identity. And it has plenty of guitars and what everyone recognizes as progressive elements.Produced, recorded, and mixed with Daniel Gildenlow by Daniel Bergstrand (IN FLAMES, MESHUGGAH, DEVIN TOWNSEND). The fantastic artwork is by Andre Meister. Once again, a work of extremely high artistic creativity is proudly completed. I can't wait to share "Panther" with everyone," says Daniel Gildenlow, "and I have no doubt that it will be another exciting release in the progressive metal scene.
