A 12-inch vinyl record featuring Alan Walker’s remix of “Time” (from the movie *Inception*) Next-generation DJ and music producer Alan Walker has released a single featuring his remix of the classic track “Time” by film music maestro Hans Zimmer. “Time” is a track from the 2010 film *Inception*, directed by Christopher Nolan, and is by far one of the most popular pieces in Zimmer’s catalog. This super collaboration came about after Alan attended Zimmer’s solo concert in Barcelona in April 2019. Walker, a 22-year-old who burst onto the global scene as a genius DJ with the massive hit of his 2015 debut single “Faded,” says he often draws inspiration from film music. Among them, Hans Zimmer—who has brought us scores for films such as *The Dark Knight*, *Pirates of the Caribbean*, *Interstellar*, and *Inception*—holds a special place and has had a profound influence on Alan. “I’ve been incredibly lucky over the past few years, but this collaboration with Hans Zimmer was an amazing experience on a whole different level. Everyone who knows me knows I’m a huge fan of Hans Zimmer, and his work has played a major role in my musical journey. In fact, I might even say that ‘Time’ is my favorite song. I am truly grateful for this opportunity,” Alan commented. Hans Zimmer began his career in film music in the 1980s and won both an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award for *The Lion King* (1994). He broke new ground with his grand symphonic sound, fusing synthesizers with orchestras, and even into the 21st century, he has continued to create a dark, gothic soundscape in collaboration with director Nolan. With a constant stream of new ideas, he continues his unrivaled streak of success. Hans Zimmer had this to say about the collaboration: “I am truly grateful to be able to collaborate with a talented young artist who has been influenced by my work.
