Backed by an impressive stage production and playing intense sets, Deamons & Wizards embarked on their first North American tour, which took them to Wacken Open Air (Germany), Hellfest (Finland), Swedish Rock (Sweden), and GMM (Grasshop Metal Meeting) (Belgium). (Belgium), Barcelona Rock Fest (Spain), Copenhagen (Denmark), Chania Rock (Greece), Metal Days (Slovenia), Prog Power (USA), and the first shows in Moscow and London. But the fun is just beginning.On February 21, 2020, 20 years after their debut, they will release a new album, "III," which combines the dark, '70s-style vibe of "Deamons & Wizards" with the complexity and intensity of "Touched by the Crimson King" and adds new elements that showcase their 14 years of growth in songwriting. The new album, "III" (Three), will be released. Yes, we've grown," Schafer says. One listen is all it takes to see that. You hear classical and progressive rock influences, but there are also glimpses of an alternative vibe. It's a heavy metal album that is consistently pure and dynamic. It's a journey of epic proportions! To record the new songs, Shaffer and Kiersch visited Iced Earth's own studio Independence Hall, Blind Guardian's Twilight Hall, and the legendary Mori Sound Recording Studio. Assisting the band were the skilled engineers Jim Morris, Charlie Bauerfind, Tommy Geiger, and Joost Van den Broek.The studio musicians who supported Shaffer and Kiersch were Brent Smedley (Iced Earth), Reuben Drake (Purgatory, Sons of Liberty), Jake Dreyer (Witherfall, Iced Earth), and of course Jim Morris.
