Danny L. Harl, who founded PC Music with his childhood friend A.G. Cook, has worked as a producer for Dua Lipa, Skrillex, Charlie xcx, and more. He has released his long-awaited new album "Cerulean" with a superb lineup including Craylo, Pink Panthares, and Caroline Polacheck.
Following his immersive project "Harlecore" in 2021, Haar considers "Cerulean" to be his true debut album. "This is my debut album," he says. This is my debut album. This is my debut album, and it's really 'the real deal,'" he says. Cerulean is a journey through a huge, otherworldly sonic landscape. Heart-thumping bass, ecstatic trance synths, classical harmony, tactile sound design, and his own seaside field recordings merge together. The entire work is imbued with his own "melancholic euphoria" that exists at the "border between dream and reality," inspired by Andrei Tarkovsky's "Stalker. Danny L. Haar sought "the best melodies sung by the best voices," and invited a wide variety of collaborators, including Clairo, Pink Panthares, Caroline Polacheck, Okay Lou, Emenike, and Julia Michaels, as well as the up-and-coming Kacha and even his own daughters, A wide variety of collaborators were invited to participate in this project. Comprised of 13 songs in total, this album is a perfect balance of a strong club-ready sound and deep emotion.In addition, Danny L. Harl's broad musical background, from rave hedonism to the "Dark Souls" series, Philip Glass' "Einstein on the Beach," and Renaissance-Elizabethan composers Monteverdi, Thomas Tallis, and William Byrd, is a major factor in his genre and supports a style that transcends both genres and eras.
