Debut album by alternative pop duo Jockstrap, featuring members of Black Country New Road! Jockstrap, a new alternative pop duo based in London, has released their long-awaited debut album "I Love You Jennifer B" on Rough Trade! Comprised of Georgia Ellery and Taylor Skye, both members of Black Country New Road, who met at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Jockstrap grew up listening to classical music and discovered jazz in music school. The band's sound reflects influences from PC Music, Micka Choo, James Blake, and Paul Simon. The band has garnered attention for its ability to deconstruct existing sounds and styles and cleverly reassemble them to create pop music that is both temporally and spatially disorienting in a way that creates an entirely new genre.The album contains 10 songs, including the preceding singles "50/50" and "Concrete Over Water" and the third single "Glasgow," which have been highly acclaimed by Jamie xx, Iggy Pop, and One Autolycus Point Never. Member Taylor Skye produced and mixed the album himself, and it was mastered by John Davis, who has worked with Led Zeppelin, Dua Lipa, Lana Del Rey, and FKA Twigs.
