The Desert Sessions, a legendary collaborative project led by Josh Homme, the band's absolute frontman with his charisma and presence, released their latest album "Vols. 11&12" on Matador. The project, which began in 1997 with a trip to Joshua Tree, California, to get away from the hustle and bustle and comforts of everyday life, has produced 10 albums and 5 singles to date, with collaborators such as PJ Harvey, Mark Lanegan, and Josh Freese, former drummer for Guns N' Roses. The project has produced a total of 10 albums so far.It has been 16 years since their last album "Vols. 9&10" (2003), and this album features talented artists from different genres and generations, such as Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top, Mike Carr of Royal Blood, Stella Mozgawa of Warpaint, and Les Claypool of Primus. The artists' individual personalities stimulate each other, creating an exciting musical chemistry that has never been seen before.
