Picks, a female singer/songwriter from South London, releases her second album from the prestigious "4AD", which is celebrating its 40th anniversary and experiencing a rush of releases! A graduate of the prestigious Brit School of Art, which has produced the likes of Adele and Amy Winehouse, Picks embodies the tradition and innovation of 4AD, and in her 2017 debut, she delivered a wonderful synth-pop album with an ethereal, new age grimesque aesthetic and gothic Bauhausian melancholy. The band's first album in almost two years, "The Lost" is the first album by the band in two years. This album, their first in two years, is produced by Dan Carey, who has worked with Franz Ferdinand and Sia on their previous albums, as well as the debut of Goth Girl. The film explores the damage done by love. The album poetically explores "love" from a variety of experimental angles, from the micro (self-love) to the macro (devotion and religious love), and is completed with elements of electro-pop and subdued grunge rock.Keep an eye out for this up-and-coming artist who will reach out to a wide range of Grimes lovers as well as fans of Kelela - Laurel Halo!
