2CELLOS’ Hauser Releases a Solo Album Brimming with the Ultimate in Beautiful Sound!
Stefan Hauser of 2CELLOS—who has captivated the world with their virtuosic performances on two cellos—has completed a solo album under his own name, “Hauser.” It was recorded in June 2019 at the famous Henry Wood Hall, where he performed with the London Symphony Orchestra. The album features a selection of beautiful, well-loved melodies from classical masterpieces, including famous ballet music, opera arias, and piano pieces. Even before his debut with 2CELLOS, Hauser was already making a name for himself as a promising young musician. In 2010, he happened to reunite with Luka Sulic in London, and in January 2011, they posted a video of themselves performing “Smooth Criminal” on two cellos—an event that led to their debut as 2CELLOS. Having honed his artistic range while touring the world, Hauser’s rich, colorful cello sound is fully captured in this album, where he performs the “classical” music that has inspired him from his roots.
