LSD Sia, the "Faceless Genius Hitmaker" known for her hit songs "Chandelier" and "Alive," and Diplo, a member of Major Lazer and Jack U, won the Grammy Award this year for "Electricity with Dua Lipa" with Mark Ronson's unit Silk City, and the Grammy Award for "Best Pop Song" with Diplo's unit Diplo. Diplo, who won the Grammy Award for "Best Dance Recording" for his unit "Electricity with Dua Lipa" with Mark Ronson, and Labyrinth, a singer/producer from the UK who has performed on songs by Nicki Minaj and The Weeknd and is also highly regarded as a producer. LSD and Sia, who have been friends for several years and co-wrote the soundtrack to the movie "Wonder Woman," have released their first album, "Labyrinth, Sia, Diplo Presents...LSD. Labyrinth formed the group when they approached Diplo while they were both in the studio working on a song together.Diplo, who describes Sia as "one of my favorite singers in the world," has a connection with her, having produced her song "Elastic Heart," and his addition has created a new chemistry. The new song "No New Friends" is a happy dance-pop song with playful dialogue between Sia and Labyrinth. In addition to this song, the album includes "Genius" and "Audio," both of which were released last May, and "Thunderclouds," which was used in the Galaxy Note 9 commercial and was a worldwide hit, reaching No. 1 on the iTunes pop song chart here in Japan. The album is packed with addictive dance-pop sounds and the colorful, psychedelic worldview of LSD as expressed in the music video, jacket photo, artist photo, and other visuals. LSD is the strongest supergroup in the pop music world, bringing together three top producers/artists active in different fields, and in addition to Sia's performance at the FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL '19, Diplo is scheduled to visit Japan in May as a major raiser at the EDC JAPAN. With the release of their long-awaited first album, the expectations for the group's performance will only continue to increase.
