This is a solo album with Lorenzo Ghirlanda and his Vox Orchestra, who showed his brilliant performance as a baritone with Christoph Pregardien's "Bach & Telemann: Cantatas". Swiss conductor Lorenzo Ghirlanda, who studied trombone at the conservatories of Bern and Weimar and studied ancient music at the Schola Kantorum Basel, made his conducting debut at the 2008 Handel Festival in Halle with Handel's opera "Alcina", which brought him much attention, He established his reputation as a highly regarded conductor of Baroque music with the reconstruction and revival of Handel's unfinished opera "Genserico" and a new production of Handel's "Alcina" at the Weimar State Theater, and in 2015, for the Thuringian Bach Festival, he was invited to conduct the young period instrument orchestra, the He founded the Vox Orchestra (Vox Orchester); since December 2016, when he conducted "Messiah" in place of Helmut Rilling, he has been selected as Rilling's assistant and has conducted a variety of orchestras.His performances with the Vox Orchestra, especially his extensive knowledge of historical performance, have been highly acclaimed, as well as his various experimental performances. Lorenzo Ghirlanda and the Vox Orchestra's first album for DHM was as baritone Christophe Pregardin's "Bach, Telemann: Cantatas" (1907583412-2), which was active during the Dowland and Handel periods, This album is an orchestral suite of incidental music composed by Henry Purcell and Matthew Locke, who were active between the Dowland and Handel periods. Ghirlanda emphasized that the dramatic stories and satirical content of Shakespeare and others' works are tragic through the skill of the music, and the orchestra answered his ideas beautifully through its spontaneity.
