Alagna's first release with Sony Classical, after having moved from one of the world's major labels to another, is a duet album with her partner, Alexandra Krzak, who has been described as "the ideal couple in the world of opera.They have sung together on stage as well as in private performances, and their passionate singing has been heard on many occasions, but this album is a collection of Puccini duets most suitable for them. Most of Puccini's works are tragedies, but that is why they are filled with "burning passionate emotions. The singing is so true to life that it is hard to believe that they are performing. This is a wonderful disc that will delight and surprise you not only with famous duets such as "Tosca" and "Manon Lescaut," but also with the wonderful duet in the rarely-heard "Mantle.
