Renowned singer Nuria Real performs the secret songs of the Spanish Baroque, her roots as a musician. Nuria Rial is a soprano with a wonderful voice that exudes a natural innocence that is a perfect match between her looks and her singing. Her looks and amazing voice are now taking the world by storm. In recent years, she has gained further acclaim for her passionate expression that incorporates a thicker voice as well. In this album, she sings the music of Catalunya, and she sings beautifully, representing her hometown, Barcelona, Catalonia, where she was born. The album focuses on the works of Spanish Baroque composer Sebastián Durón (1660-1716). He was an organist and composer in Seville and was considered the most important composer of theater music of his time. In the Zarzuela, in particular, he combined elements of Spanish folk music with an Italian style that was new at the time. The rest of the recordings are also outstanding, some of them incorporating flamenco-style rhythms, and are important for their diverse repertoire of enchanting melodies, elegant rhythms, and rich instrumental expression.Backing him this time is the next ace of Spanish old music, viola da gamba prodigy Fami Alcay, and his own old music ensemble, Academia del Piacere. Fami Alcay was born in 1976. He is regarded as one of the most brilliant and celebrated young viola da gamba players of our time, and is widely recognized as an excellent interpreter of the ancient repertoire with his unique and communicative approach. In 2002, he founded the Accademia del Piacere, of which he is the musical director.
