Bob Dylan's most powerful series, "More Blood, More Tracks (Bootleg Series Vol. 14)", is now available in a 6 CD limited deluxe edition. The long-awaited contents of the new bootleg series are finally revealed! For the first time, all of the previously unreleased and mysterious recording sessions for "Blood Trails" in 1974 will be made public. This new release in the highly acclaimed "Bootleg Series" features six key recording sessions Bob Dylan conducted in 1974: four days in New York City (September 16, 17, 18, and 19) and two days in Minneapolis (December 27 and 30). During these sessions, Dylan completed his masterpiece, Blood on the Tracks, which was released in 1975. Blood on the Tracks was originally recorded over four days in New York City in September 1974. The album was soon mastered and test recordings were distributed. Three months after the recording, however, Dylan felt that the album should have been made with a different approach, and at the end of December, five of the songs were re-recorded at Sound 80 Studios in Minneapolis. A small portion of the New York sessions leaked to bootleggers and collectors, but until now the entire album has remained largely unreleased in any form.The deluxe edition (complete limited edition/6 CDs) includes all of the New York sessions, including outtakes and unfinished material, as well as five surviving tracks from the Minneapolis Sound 80 sessions, compiled in recording order. The producers of the bootleg series searched for the best quality sources possible, and as a result, original multitrack session tapes were used for many of the tracks. However, the only tapes that survived from the Minneapolis Sound 80 sessions were the multitrack masters of the five songs on the released Blood Ruts. New mixing and mastering of these tapes was done for inclusion in More Blood, More Tracks (Bootleg Series, Vol. 14). The Deluxe Edition will be released as a limited production run, and no additional copies will be made after the initial run is sold out. This rare box set also includes liner notes by rock historian Jeff Slate and a hardcover photo book that is an exact facsimile of the 57-page notebook in which Dylan handwrote the lyrics. The notebook will give the reader an idea of how the songs in "Blood Ruts" were completed as he rewrote the lyrics.
