Bashmet has been a great fan of Brahms' viola sonatas, recording them for Melodiya in the 80's and RCA in the 90's. He has now passed his 60's and is in the mature stage of his career. The master of the viola world, who has reached his 60th year and is now in his mature years, plays Brahms' last masterpiece with his beloved daughter Kseniya in an exquisite ensemble that only a father and son can create.
