Description:
Stephen Kovasevich was born in Los Angeles in 1940 and made his international debut at the Wigmore Hall in 1961. His 1965 performance of "The Emperor" with Colin Davis sealed his reputation, and he made his New York debut in 1967. His recording of Bartók's Piano Concerto No. 2 won an Edison Award. The Beethoven: Complete Piano Sonatas, recorded at Abbey Road Studios from 1992 to 2003, is a straight-ahead presentation that allows the emotions to flow through the music. The exquisite tempo rubato during the changes of mood creates a unique flow, which can be said to be a typical expression of Beethoven. The four representative pieces from this collection, the Sonata with title and Pagatell Op.126, will be released on 180g analog LP in a limited quantity. Warner Music Japan
