The band has been reissuing their original albums on 180-gram heavy vinyl since last year, and their fifth studio album "Med Sud I Eyrum Vid Spilum Endalaust/Reverberations" released in 2008 has been added to the series of reissues. Recorded in New York, London, and Reykjavik with FLOOD as producer, Med Sud I Eyrum Vid Spilum Endalaust is the band's first album produced outside Iceland. Songwriting, recording, and touring for the album took place over a period of 12 months, or one year, making this album an extremely quick project for the band, who have sometimes spent several years working on an album. The album also includes "All Alright," Sigur Rós' first all-English song. Med Sud I Eyrum Vid Spilum Endalaust (Reverberations)" reached #5 on the UK Album Chart and #15 on the US Billboard 200 Album Chart.The album's song "All Alright" was featured in Neil Jordan's film "Ondine," and "Festival" was used in Danny Boyle's "127 Hours. The long-awaited reissue of the long-awaited 180-gram vinyl 2-CD set, which had been difficult to find due to its worldwide discontinuation, is now available. The sensationally beautiful artwork, featuring photographs by Ryan McGinley, has been reproduced as much as possible from the original LP. Their one-of-a-kind worldview resonates deep and quiet like an afterimage in your eyes and ears once again!
