Jean-François Paillard has made Bach one of the cornerstones of his catalog for the Erato label, a collection of Bach performances of the utmost elegance, with a cast of virtuoso soloists that could not be hoped for. His chamber orchestra, founded by Paillard in 1953 and later renamed the "Jean-Marie Leclerc Instrumental Ensemble" and later the "Paillard Chamber Orchestra," consists of about 15 musicians who, in order to achieve greater elucidation, lightness, and liveliness, have been invited to perform Bach music in a new style, the Baroque. Particularly meticulous attention was put into the performance. A deep knowledge of historical performance. The most important compliment of each new release is the gift of the musicians: not only accuracy, but also brightness and sensitivity, intelligence and maturity, a sparkling sound without losing freshness or elegance... The greatest tribute was paid to each new release. And over the years, a variety of top-class performances have been produced with the great French instrumentalists Jean-Pierre Rampal, Marie-Claire Alain, Robert Veyron-Lacroix, Maurice André, Pierre Pierlot.... In this Bach album, even the most unlikely of soloists incorporate his interpretations, and the result is a Bach performance of the utmost elegance.All of the recordings were remastered in 2019 from the original master tapes. Due to the nature of these imports, there may be minor scratches, folds, scuffs, dents, tears, stains, crushed corners, scratches on the disc surface that do not affect playback, stains, image differences, individual differences, etc. on the product (including jacket, outer vinyl, outer box, case, enclosure, etc.) at the time of receipt.
