Max Emanuel Cencic celebrates his 40th birthday with this best-of album. Cencic began learning to sing at an early age, and at the age of six he made headlines when he sang the "Queen of the Night's Aria" from "The Magic Flute" as a soloist in a television broadcast. After her change of voice, she decided to advance her career as a singer in the mezzo-soprano to soprano range in the male voice, and began her solo career as a sopranista in 1992. Since 2001, he has appeared as a countertenor in numerous baroque operas and Rossini, and continues to be in demand at major opera houses and festivals around the world. In this best of album, she sings arias from her recordings for Erato (formerly Virgin). The best disc includes arias from his recordings for Erato (formerly Virgin), and a rare private recording made during the period of vocal transition is included as Disc 3.
