Description:
Debut album of Diana Tishchenko, winner of the 2018 Ron Thibaud Competition! At the age of 18, she joined the Gustav Mahler Jugend Orchestra and became its youngest concertmaster. Already a highly acclaimed chamber musician, she will appear at the La Folle Journée music festival in 2019. Her imposing performance was well received. On this album, she performs works by Ravel, Enescu, Ysaÿe, and Prokofiev. These selections are appropriate for the musician who specializes in exotic works, and from the Ravel sonata, which opens the album, the performance is full of rich, resonant, and bewitching sounds. In the Ravel, she sang the undulating melody slowly, in the Ysaye, she clothed her whole body in a mysterious atmosphere, and in the Prokofiev, she beautifully expressed the gloominess that pervades the entire piece. This is a disc in which one can fully enjoy the extraordinary talent.Diana Tishchenko, violin》Born in 1990 in Simferopol, Ukraine (now Crimea), she began playing the violin at the age of six under the guidance of her aunt, joined the Gustav Mahler Jugend Orchestra at the age of 18, and soon after became its youngest concertmaster.
