Description:
Alexandre Tharaud's world premiere recording of commissioned works by Alexandre Tharaud. This album is an interesting collection of works for orchestra and piano that he himself commissioned from three composers "living in the present. Abrahamsen's "Left Alone," which opens the album, is, as the title suggests, a work for the left hand. Nevertheless, as Abrahamsen says that the title "Left" has many meanings, it is a colorful piece of music that incorporates various elements. Inspired by the poetry of American poet T.S. Eliot, Peson's piece is music that grows into a unique form around the three notes played by the piano. Of course, it was composed with Taro's unique performance in mind.Strasnoy's "Kuleshov" was inspired by the Soviet-era filmmaker Lev Kuleshov, and the experimental concerto is a sound version of the "Kuleshov effect," a change in meaning and interpretation that occurs when a group of images is montage (edited) and the front and back of the images change. The experimental concerto gives a mysterious impression to the listener. Warner Music Japan
