The ensemble sings with only male voices, even the soprano part, and is called an "orchestra of voices" because of its finely tuned ensemble. With a wide repertoire ranging from Gregorian chant to pop music, the ensemble has been called an "orchestra of voices" because of their diverse voices and astonishing range, and they are active worldwide. Previously signed to Teldec, the group has recorded 14 albums to worldwide acclaim, and in 2018 recorded their first album for Warner in 15 years, "Then and There - Here and Now / Chanticleer's Now! The members of the band have changed since then, and the quality and quantity of the music is even more exquisitely balanced.This album features traditional carols and gospel and sacred songs from the 16th and 17th centuries, as well as works for Christmas from Europe, North America, and Central America, and this lush sound offers a clear, exquisite singing experience.
