Description:
A CD & DVD box containing albums of famous soprano "Nathalie Dessay" singing operas! Nathalie Dessay is a dazzling opera singer. She is also a compelling actress, whether in tragedy or comedy. Her charisma has been performed on stages and in recording studios at the most prestigious opera houses around the world. From Mozart's ferocious "Queen of the Night" to Debussy's enigmatic "Melisande," Offenbach's "Olympia," Strauss's frivolous "Zerbinetta" and Dreib's devotional "Lakmé" ... desperate, merciful, passionate, tragic ... all dramatic possibilities have been explored. The arias, famous scenes, and complete operas in the collection recorded here attest to them. Nathalie Dessay was born in Lyon. Originally an actress, she was encouraged to study voice at the Conservatoire National de Bordeaux and later became a choir member at a church in Toulouse. Later, after studying at the Paris Opera for a year, she won the "New Voices" vocal competition and in 1990 the "International Mozart Competition" at the Vienna State Opera. This career led to a flood of offers from various theaters, and he made his operatic debut at the Opéra-Comique in Paris.Since 1991, she has appeared at the Opera de Lyon, the Geneva Opera, the Bastille Opera, and the Vienna State Opera. In 1995, she made her debut at La Scala in Milan under the baton of Riccardo Chailly, and in 2001 she began to suffer from voice problems, which kept her off the stage for two years and required surgery on her vocal cords. In February 2003, he returned to the Met after a very successful revival performance in Paris. However, her vocal cords failed again, and since 2006, she has been rumored to have retired several times, but she is still a lyric soprano with a wide repertoire and a beautiful voice, and has sung such masterpieces as "Queen of the Night" from "The Magic Flute" and "Zerbinetta" from "Ariadne of Naxos". On October 15, 2013, she retired from opera after her performance in "Manon" at the Opera de Toulouse and became an actress, She has also dubbed for the 2018 animated film "Dirili and the Time Travel in Paris".This box contains a CD of Nathalie Dessay's "Opera" arias album, a CD and DVD of the "Complete Opera Edition" on which she appeared, and almost all of her other recordings and videos. Other recordings of religious works and song cycles are not included here. Warner Music Japan
