From France: New Generation Female Jazz Singer-Songwriter Camille Bertot's 2025 New Release. Brazil's captivating culture has captured the hearts of many. Vocalist Camille Bertot fell in love with Brazil in 2013, when she received a grant from the City of Paris to collect Brazilian stories and legends and weave them into a theatrical production. Bertho spent three months in Brazil, learning Portuguese and forming deep connections with many locals. Since then, she has visited Brazil annually, continuing collaborations and performances with the incredible talents she met there. Bertho's new work is a beautiful tribute to these joyful encounters and her love for Brazil. During her first visit to Brazil, she collected stories, songs, and Portuguese phrases. Her sincere approach to the project earned her many friends, including numerous prominent musicians and music industry professionals. Among them was the festival promoter who invited Bertol back the following year, marking the beginning of her annual pilgrimage to Brazil. Upon returning to Brazil in 2022, Bertô wanted to create a work as a gift to himself and as a tribute to the wonderful friends he had made in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. Balto contacted recording engineers Adônias Souza Júnior (São Paulo) and Tássio Ramos (Rio de Janeiro) to record improvisational duos and small group performances with his close collaborators.
