With his official endorsement, this sublime, landmark album reimagines his timeless masterpieces through the elegant piano solos of Aurélien Pontier! Featuring guest appearances by Nemanya Radulović, Natalie Dessay, and others! Howard Shore is one of the world’s most highly acclaimed film score composers. While best known for his Academy Award-winning score for the *Lord of the Rings* trilogy, he has also composed music for films by directors such as David Cronenberg (*The Fly*), David Fincher (*Se7en*), Martin Scorsese (*The Departed* *After Hours*), Tim Burton (*Ed Wood*), and Jonathan Demme (*The Silence of the Lambs*)—among others. Howard Shore will celebrate his 80th birthday on October 18, 2026. To mark this milestone, the “Celebration” album has been produced, featuring a collection of his greatest film scores. All tracks are presented here with completely new arrangements, featuring solo piano by Aurélien Pontier and guest appearances by Nemanya Radulović, Natalie Dessay, and others.
