Radek Babolak is a horn player who captivates the world with his beautiful and soft tone. This is the sequel to the best-selling Mozart Horn Concerto Chamber Edition (SU4207/KKC5654)! The album features a full program, including a complementing version of the horn concerto, of which only fragments exist, Babolak's own arrangement of Mozart's symphonies, and 12 horn duets with the virtuoso Radovan Vlatkovic. In 1994, Babolák won the first prize at the Munich International Competition, one of the world's most difficult competitions, and attracted worldwide attention. Since then, he has been actively performing throughout Europe and the United States, and is also extremely popular in Japan, where he frequently performs in Japan. The 12 Duets in C major, K. 487, also known as the "Gegel Duo," is a collection of 12 small pieces. .Although there is some uncertainty as to how the work was composed, it has recently been suggested that it was performed on horns to tease Leutgeb, to whom the horn concerto was dedicated, by writing in the high register. It is a great pleasure to hear Babolak and Vlatkovich, two of the world's greatest musicians, perform this collection of works. The collection also includes a symphonic work arranged by Babolak. Andante Grazioso in B major, K Zu 132/02 is an arrangement for French horn and strings of the second movement of Symphony No. 19 in E flat major, and Presto Assai in E major, K 162/03 is an arrangement of the third movement of Symphony No. 22 in C major. The result is an exquisite work with the beautiful sound that only Babolak can deliver. The ensemble is the Babolake Ensemble, an elite ensemble of musicians whom Babolake places great trust in. The members of this ensemble, who have been performing with Babolak for a long time, are all highly talented musicians.Dalibor Kalvai, who plays the first violin, is a violinist who once appeared (at the age of 18) in a documentary on NHK's "Searching the World for the Ideal Violin," in which he played various famous instruments and attracted attention for his outstanding technique and musicality.
