A collection of pieces by Hosprová and Englihová, the beautiful duo from the Czech Republic, from J.S. Bach to Fauré. The title "Chanson de l'evening" evokes the serenity and beauty of their works. The lustrous harmonies of the harp, full of noble radiance like moonlight, and the full tone of the viola, which has a depth as dark as the evening twilight, are perfect for listening to on a quiet evening. Many of the pieces on this album, including "Pavane for a Dead Princess" and "The Flaxen-Haired Virgins," were arranged for this recording, and the beautiful ensemble created by these two instruments is a must-hear! The beautiful ensemble that can only be created by these two instruments is a must-hear!Itka Hosprová is a viola player from the Czech Republic, who started playing the violin at the age of 7. In 1989, she entered the Plzeň Music Academy (Czech Republic), where she won the first prize in the under 18 category at the Beethoven International Music Festival in 1993. He later became principal viola player of the Junge Österreichische Philharmonie, a group of young musicians, and is now active as a soloist not only in the Czech Republic but also all over the world. Harpist Kateřina Englihová, also from the Czech Republic, is a young and talented player who has won numerous awards at international competitions and is attracting worldwide attention. She has performed with many of the greats of the past, including Rostropovich and J. Suk, and is an ambitious performer who is also boldly tackling contemporary music.
