In 1989, she entered the Plzeň Music Academy (Czech Republic), where she won the first prize in the under 18 category at the Beethoven International Music Festival in 1993. He later became principal viola player of the Junge Österreichische Philharmonie, a group of young musicians, and is now active as a soloist not only in the Czech Republic but also all over the world. Harpist Kateřina Englihová, also from the Czech Republic, is a young and talented player who has won numerous awards at international competitions and is attracting worldwide attention. She has performed with many of the greats of the past, including Rostropovich and J. Suk, and is an ambitious performer who is also boldly tackling contemporary music.
