Chamber Chorus Accompaniment version of "Aged Hibari"! The Swedish Chamber Choir was founded in 2006 from the Simon Phipps Vocal Ensemble, which was founded in 1997 by Simon Phipps, who was born in England and has been active in Sweden since 1994. The choir has performed throughout Europe and participated in many international competitions, winning two Grand Prix and one European Grand Prix. Like to the Lark (from Shakespeare's Sonnet No. 29), the Swedish Chamber Choir's Chandos debut, is a collection of works for unaccompanied chorus, solo vocal and chorus, and violin and chorus, primarily from Sweden and England. The soloist in Vaughan Williams' masterpiece "Aerial Lark," arranged for violin and chamber chorus, is Jennifer Pike, the beautiful muse of the British violin world, who has made her way from Chandos to the world stage. Also sung is a captivating repertoire for chamber choir, including a chamber choir-accompanied version of one of Mahler's orchestral songs from the Rückert Lieder, "I am Abandoned to the World".
