Bielohlávek's Souk! The masterpiece of his early years, "Symphony No. 1" is now available! The Czech master Bělohlávek performs Josef Suk's (1874-1935) orchestral works for the first time since his "Asrael Symphony" (CHAN 9640) with the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra! The "Symphony No. 1" is a hidden masterpiece of Suk's early period, written over a period of two years after the start of composition in 1897, and which shows the influence of Brahms and Dvořák. Also of interest is the recording of "The Fruits of Life," a symphonic poem with chorus composed between 1912 and 1917, which has the same length of performance as the "First Symphony. The Suk is wielded by Bělohlávek in the Czech tradition.A new masterpiece will be added to the history of Czech music performance! Tokyo M-Plus
