The most influential and respected composer of Slovakia in the 20th century, Eugen Suhonnyu (1908-1993), is back with his ambitious work! Suhonnyu studied composition and piano at the Academy of Music in Bratislava, where he also served as a professor at the Academy, the Bratislava Higher Education School, and the University of Bratislava, as well as president of the Slovak Copyright Society and the Union of Slovak Composers. The "Ballad Suite" incorporates elements of folk music. Metamorphosis" expresses feelings of war and peace.Sinfonietta rustica (Rustic Sinfonietta)", adapted from the piano work "Sonata Rustica", is another work in the style of Slovak folk songs. This is an unknown Slovak orchestral work by the powerful duo of Neeme Järvi and the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, who have built a long relationship of trust over more than half a century and have served as music director and chief conductor since 2010.
