Tempesta di mare has presented an ambitious repertoire including Fasch, Weiss, J.S. Bach's "Trio Sonatas for Chamber Music" and the "Comedy and Tragedy" series, and this new recording is a collection of concertos recorded to commemorate the 250th anniversary of Telemann's death. As many 17th century German composers skillfully incorporated French, Italian, and German styles into their music, Telemann's music in these pieces colorfully incorporates Italian-style concertos, French-style overtures, and Polish melodies.
