This series of shows has cemented the bond between the band members and with the fans. This album contains more cover songs than original songs. These covers are a tribute to the artists and songs that gave Tom Petty the opportunity to cultivate his passion for music while growing into adulthood, before he became a legendary songwriter. Some of the most popular covers included are songs such as Bob Dylan's "Knockin' On Heaven's Door," J.J. Cale's "Crazy Mama," and The Rolling Stones' "Time is On My Side," as well as songs by The Kinks, The Everly Brothers, Bill Withers, The Byrds, Chuck Berry, Booker T. & The MG's, and more. The album also includes special performances with The Byrds frontman Roger McGinn and blues legend John Lee Hooker.Other songs include extended versions of original compositions such as "Mary Jane's Last Dance" and "It's Good To Be King. The Fillmore was one of the greatest experiences of a musician's life back in 1997, when we got to play The Fillmore for a month. The band was on fire live, and we changed the setlist every night. The venue and the crowd were just god. And then we got to play with some amazing guest musicians. I'll never forget those days of excitement and inspiration. The sold-out performances were so successful that the Heartbreakers became known as "The Fillmore's go-to band. On the last day of the show, Petty commented, "All the members feel that this is the best moment we've had as a band... It's hard not to have a show here tomorrow.The last six nights of The Fillmore performances, which spanned a total of 20 shows, were recorded, and the songs on this album were selected by producers Ryan Uluyate and Mike Campbell, and executive producers Benmont Tench, Adria Petty, The songs were selected by executive producers Benmont Tench, Adria Petty, Anakim Petty, and Dana Petty. ★★2CD EDITION★★★This 2-CD edition contains a total of 33 live tracks (18 of which are cover songs), for a total of approximately 2 hours of music.
