flor is an indie synth-pop band from Oregon, now based in California. Their soundtrack for the millennial generation is a visual soundscape of mid-tempo synth-pop sounds and transparent vocals, as they aim for a brighter future. The long-awaited new album "FUTURE SHINE" is now available! Oregon-born, now California-based indie synth-pop band flor (flor) has completed their first new album in three years, after releasing their debut album on FUELED BY RAMEN in 2017. FUTURE SHINE is their latest and highly anticipated album. Frontman Zach Grace (Vo./G), who says he had no inspiration to write songs during the lockdown, joined band members Dylan Bauld (B), McKinley Kitts (G), and Kyle Hill (Dr) as soon as the restrictions on their activities were relaxed. They gathered at Dylan's studio in Los Angeles and began songwriting sessions. McKinley describes the process as follows: "We all met face to face, and we shaped the songs inspired by the records of MGMT, Phoenix, The Killers, M83, and other bands that had influenced us. It was like magic happened. Imagine going back to being a band in your garage, with all that songwriting and touring experience? That's what it was like. The 11 songs on "Future Shine" are a story of growing up, told from the band members' own perspectives, with catchy melodies, uplifting synths, floating beats, and shimmering guitars that only flor can deliver. The catchy melodies, uplifting synths, floating beats, and shimmering guitars are all characteristic of flor.The album features the MGMT-esque synth-pop single "Play Along," which has already been described as "the perfect introduction to their next chapter as a band," the chill-out number "Skate," with its sparkling melody and mouth-watering chorus, and the rock anthem "Big Shot," with its brisk pace and loud guitar solo, The rock anthem "Big Shot," with its fresh, fast pace and loud guitar solo, is also featured on the album. I was thinking about people who are offering solutions to the problems of modern society in order to ensure a brighter future," Zach says of the album. I wanted to emulate the energy and optimism of those who hope and strive for a better world. This album represents our goal since high school to share our art with the world, to bring joy and connect with as many people as possible. The third chapter of flor's vision for a brighter future is about to begin!
