The film, about the rise and fall of Mrs. Imelda Marcos, widow of former Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos, and the People Power Revolution, will make its Broadway debut as a musical on July 20, 2010. To celebrate the screening of the musical, this masterpiece will be released on analog vinyl for the first time.HERE LIES LOVE is a concept album that tells an epic story and is the brainchild of the brilliant David Byrne, and the collaboration of DJ/recording artist Fatboy Slim (aka Norman Cook), It is a concept album that tells an epic story and is also a great dance track album. The two have created a sound that is a blend of indie rock, alternative country, country, and rockabilly, including Florence Welch, Cyndi Lauper, Steve Earle, Sharon Jones, Natalie Merchant, Tori Amos, St. Vincent, Martha Wainwright, and Santigold, as well as a mix of rock and roll, rockabilly, and rockabilly. The dream cast from the worlds of indie rock, alternative country, R&B, and pop, including St. Vincent, Martha Wainwright, and Santigold, adds even more color and splendor to this glittering work. David Byrne himself provides the vocal for "American Troglodyte" as the voice of imperialistic America. Originally created as a musical theater piece to be performed in discotheques and nightclubs, "American Troglodyte" has been performed in the United States and Europe since its inception.In 2006, the Work in Progress version was performed to enthusiastic audiences at Carnegie Hall in New York City and the Adelaide Festival in Australia, prior to the album's release In 2010, after the album's release, the work continued to be performed at the Public Theater in New York City in 2013 for its The musical premiered to great acclaim, winning numerous awards, and was performed at the National Theatre in London in 2014-15 to sold-out audiences, and was revived at the Seattle Repertory Theatre in 2017.
