Russian fairy Alina Ibragimova descends! Violin sonatas by Ravel & Lecoux! The lovely Russian fairy Alina Ibragimova with her Pietro Guarneri violin made in 1738. Ibragimova's Hyperion recordings with Hartmann, Roslavets, Szymanowski and Bach are now joined by the French master Ravel and the untimely genius Lecoux. Debussy's impressionistic style! This collection of Ravel's violin works, combining the impressionistic colors of Debussy, the lyricism of Franck, and elements of jazz, will be a new world for Ibragimova, who has completed the eternal bible, Bach's "Unaccompanied". I am also delighted to have the opportunity to hear not only Ravel but also the too beautiful and dramatic "Violin Sonata" by Belgian genius Guillaume Lecoux, who passed away at the age of 24, on Ibragimova's violin.
