Rangel, whose repertoire is surprisingly wide, has recorded several Bach works, including "The Technique of Fugue" (STN30012) on this label, which is also highly acclaimed for its outstanding technique and musicality. This Golteberg is characterized by his consistent technique. It is rare to hear a performance in which each variation is so deeply explored.
