Three works by American composer Richard Toenzing (1940-2014). Whitman Tropes" is based on Psalm 148 and is composed of five parts, each of which is followed by a tropes. The solo high soprano voice is beautiful. The New England Conservatory Symphonic Winds may be better known by its abbreviated name, NEC Symphonic Winds. It is a very precise wind orchestra. Note that there is no indication of the recording date, only that it was recorded live at Jordan Hall. A search of concert records suggests that "Evening Prayer" was recorded on October 22, 2013, "Whitman Tropes" on March 2, 2010, and "Night Songs" on April 17, 2012. Tobu Land System
