With the Orchestra della Scala conducted by Chailly, she releases a collection of moving opera arias on the themes of love, despair, death, and hope, in three formats. Netrebko has added wonderful fullness and matured weight to her traditionally beautiful voice, and continues to evolve further with her outstanding stability and outstanding expression. In recent years, she has turned to dramatic roles with great success, and this album also features some of the most dramatic and passionate arias in her repertoire. The optimism of "On a Fine Day" from Madama Butterfly, the despair of "Manon Lescaut," the resignation and longing of "Don Carlo. The "Win and Go Home!" in "Aida." and the wonderfully rich, dark colors of "Almost Midnight" from Tchaikovsky's "The Queen of Spades," as well as the tragic, sensual "The Death of Isolde's Love" - all of which are a dominant presence in the repertoire.
