Description:
The cello poet Maisky's newest album is a collection of gems dedicated to his beloved children. ～to his wife Evelyn and second son Maxim, "Vocalise" to his wife Evelyn, "Russian Romance" to his third son Manuel, and "Adagietto" to his second daughter Mira Elina. This time, an album dedicated to his fourth son, Mateo, is now available. This is an album that is easy to get acquainted with, with some of the largest pieces like Britten's masterpiece sonata, and others with beautiful melodies that are very easy to listen to. The bonus CD, "Brazilian Bach," is a multiple recording by Maisky, who plays all eight parts by himself. Universal Music/IMS
